Fortnite developer Epic Games and Lego have partnered to create the Metaverse for kids. According to official announcement“The family-friendly digital experience will give children access to tools that will empower them to be confident creators and provide amazing opportunities to play in a safe and positive space.”
The two companies have decided to focus on three principles when it comes to building virtual worlds to safely provide engaging game opportunities. These are the three principles:
- Protect children’s right to play by prioritizing safety and well-being.
- Protect the privacy of children by putting their best interests first.
- Empower children and adults with tools that give them control over their digital experience.

According to a statement from LEGO Group, CEO, “Kids enjoy playing in the digital and physical worlds and move seamlessly between the two. For those unaware, Epic Games removed the most iconic building features from its popular title in the latest season of Fortnite. While it was a temporary stunt, the developer has now made it official with the introduction of Zero Build Mode. The new mode in Fortnite is a combat-focused option where players can collect resources and build defensive structures.
