Excitel has come up with a new broadband internet plan that offers 300 Mbps speed along with Smart LED TV. In what could be a first-of-its-kind offer, the internet startup will bundle a television with a broadband plan at no extra cost, but only if it is subscribed annually. The new 300 Mbps Wi-Fi plan will be available for Delhi and National Capital Region (NCR) customers.
Excitel has named this plan as ‘Smart TV with Smart Wi-Fi’ and it is priced at Rs 999 per month. As part of the Excitel Smart TV with Smart Wi-Fi plan, customers get 300 Mbps unlimited internet along with subscription to six OTT channels and over 300 Live TV channels. The OTT channels for which subscription will be available are Alt Balaji, Hungama Play, Hungama Music, Shemaroo, Epic On and Playbox TV. Router is also a part of the plan and there is no installation charge.
Excitel said that the Smart TV offer is valid only for new customers, which means if you are an existing customer, you will not be eligible. New customers will have to subscribe to the plan for 12 months, which brings the total to Rs 11,988 before taxes. The smart TV, whose brand is unknown, features an HD-ready panel, two 10W speakers, one HDMI port, one USB port, one AV port, 512MB RAM, 4GB storage, and Android 9.0 support. Users also get one year on-site warranty for the smart television.
Announcing the new plan, Excitel COO Varun Pasricha said, “Today’s generation has grown up with internet access and easy-to-access entertainment content from a very young age. At Excitel, as a home internet company offering high-speed internet, we are always innovating to offer an enhanced option to the users in Delhi-NCR. Our ‘Smart TV with Smart Wi-Fi’ plan will provide our subscribers with uninterrupted high-speed internet and hassle-free entertainment for a better lifestyle. With our new plan, we aim to bring more home internet users on an unbound entertainment and high-speed internet journey.
