Video game developer Epic Games will launch its “Unreal Editor for Fortnite” (UEFN) on March 22.

“UEFN is a new PC application for designing, developing, and publishing games and experiences directly within Fortnite,” the company said in a description of the new app on the Epic Games Store.

UEFN works in parallel with the game’s existing “creative toolset”, and also allows teams of creators to work together on PC and console to develop and test islands in real time.

The new application also includes the new programming language “Verse”.

“It offers powerful customization capabilities such as manipulating or chaining devices and the ability to easily create new game logic,” said the video game developer.

Meanwhile, last week the company launched self-publishing tools for developers and publishers on its ‘Epic Games Store’.

These tools allow developers and publishers to effectively release games, maintain their store presence live, and reach a growing audience of over 68 million monthly active users.
