Right after Twitter took over, Elon Musk openly slammed Indian-origin Twitter censorship lawyer Vijaya Gadde over the issue of censorship, leading to a wave of derogatory comments towards Gadde on the platform. Musk attacked Gadd for censoring particular news articles about the laptop of Hunter, the son of US President Joe Biden. Vijaya Gadde has worked with Twitter for more than 10 years.

To this, Elon Musk responded by saying, “Suspending the Twitter account of a major news organization for publishing a true story was clearly incredibly unfair”.

Reportedly, Gadde was responsible for censoring a New York Post The story about Hunter Biden’s laptop on Twitter. The story was later verified by several news outlets, but was initially labeled as misinformation.

Notably, Musk did not directly address Vijaya Gadde by name.

Following Musk’s remarks, Gadde faced several negative and derogatory comments from Twitter users for the same incident. Some suggested she be fired for her actions, with many accusing her of “destroying countless @Twitter accounts just to tell the truth.” And others called his name “Curry”. These comments were later removed because they violated Twitter’s rules.

I am against censorship which goes far beyond the law. If people want less freedom of expression, they will ask the government to pass laws to that effect. Therefore, going beyond the law is against the will of the people.”
