Living in a city like Delhi has its advantages, but it is one of the most polluted cities across the world. While people have got used to pollution and continue with their daily lives, it is quite harmful to the human body. While many would argue that they mostly live indoors, which is why their exposure to pollutants is minimal, this is far from true.

Dyson is one of the leading companies in the air purification sector. It recently launched its top-of-the-line Dyson Purifier Hot + Cool (HP07) air purifier in the country and I have been testing it for a while now, and here I will detail my experience with the device and Will let you know if this is the air purifier that will meet your needs.
Dyson Air Purifier Hot + Cool (HP07): Design
The Dyson Purifier Hot + Cool (HP07) looks similar to its predecessor, with a no-fan design and a filter housing at the base.

The base has two slide-off grilles, inside which you place the air filter units. The mesh-like grille ensures adequate airflow and acts as a deterrent to some pollutants. Just above the grilles, you get to see a color display that displays air quality details and other basic controls. The display and bladeless fan design, while dated, don’t encourage eye fatigue and still manage to look to the future. I personally would have preferred a bigger display with more details.
The unit only has a power button, and you’ll need to reach for the remote control to do anything. You can also control the device using the Dyson Link app, which manages to get the job done, and offers slightly more granular controls than the remote.

Overall, the Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool (HP07) looks quite futuristic and will give a Jetson-type look to your home. I’ve personally liked the fan’s design for a long time, and it still manages to attract fans while enticing any guests I host.
Dyson Air Purifier Hot + Cool (HP07) : Performance
Air pollution comes to our mind only when we see it. However, please believe what you don’t see. According to AQI measures, poor air quality is a year-round problem, and not just outside but indoors as well. Poor air quality affects our health whether young or old, so buying an air purifier is not a seasonal thing, we need clean air 365 days a year.

One of the key features of the Dyson Purifier Hot + Cool (HP07) other than air purification is that it doubles as a heater for cold winters. The heating function works very well and easily regulates the temperature of the room, while at the same time purifying the air inside. I found the heater to be very handy, and well worth the extra money, considering it saves space and electricity.

The bladeless design appears to be extremely efficient, considering that the fan works almost silently, while spraying lots of pure air your way. According to device readings, it managed to bring down pollution levels from 600 to 50 within 15 minutes of operation in a medium-sized room, all of which can be attributed to the airflow rate. The fan speed can be controlled along with the direction of the throw.
The filter used inside the HP07 meets the HEPA H13 standard and can capture the H1N1 virus with 99.95 percent of particles as small as 0.1 microns. Apart from this, the company claims that the HP07 is a fully sealed machine, which does not allow any dirty air to bypass the filter and return to the room.

While most air purifiers pass the Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) lab test method, where air quality is measured with just one sensor, Dyson has performed multiple tests to confirm that air purifiers are evenly spaced in every corner. Able to purify the air. Of the room. While these are all lab tests, and we can’t confirm statistics due to the lack of proper equipment, air quality with the HP07 running felt the same in every corner of the room. Comparatively running my Xiaomi air purifier, the quality difference is evident when we move to another corner of the room.

One cool feature that I really liked about the air purifier is that it reports air quality on a real-time basis. Along with overall air quality information, the air purifier allows users to get other real-time updates such as PM 2.5 and PM10 levels, humidity levels, VOC levels and much more. The Dyson Link app provides real-time more in-depth details about pollution levels, air purifier performance, and more.
Dyson Air Purifier Hot + Cool (HP07): Verdict
Air purifiers have become a necessity these days, but the question remains which one is for you. Dyson air purifiers are currently among the best air purifiers you can get. Testing the HP07 made me realize how much better it is than the cheaper options I’ve been used to, and I can definitely say that the extra amount paid for them is well worth it.
