Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) maker Crafton has announced that it has banned over 40,000 accounts from its gaming platform for fraud. The company said it permanently banned a total of 41,898 accounts for fraud between April 11 and April 17.
“Battlegrounds Mobile India will endeavor to implement strong sanctions with the ultimate goal of eliminating the use of illegal programs to provide you with an enjoyable gaming environment,” Crafton wrote in a blog post. In addition to banning accounts for fraud, the game-maker has also shared a list of all the accounts it has banned as part of its efforts to stop the use of illegal programs from the game. It’s worth noting that this isn’t the first time the PUBG-Gi-maker has banned BGMI accounts from the game for cheating. Earlier this month, the company announced that it had permanently banned a total of 66,233 accounts from the game between March 28 and April 3.
In total, the game-maker has banned a total of 6,11,318 BGMI accounts between January 3 and April 17. Its biggest action took place between January 24 and February 6, when it permanently banned a total of 171,188 accounts from the popular game.
Separately, Crafton has also announced that it has released an update to fix several glitches that users were facing while playing the game. In an April 14 update, the game-maker has fixed an issue where speed was intermittently accelerating from Nimbus Island. In addition, they have also fixed the issue where other player’s sensitivity codes would not apply. Lastly, the company has also fixed the issue in which players equipped with Merry Tidings – UZI were unable to see through the scope.
In addition, Crafton also corrected issues with Lamborghini vehicles in which the maximum speed of Lamborghini vehicle skins was applied slightly higher than Lamborghini vehicle skins. “Adjusting the maximum speed of the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Verde Alsoo and Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Verde equally for all Lamborghini skins,” the company wrote in a post.
