Alphabet and Google CEO Sundar Pichai has revealed that the company recently had a best-selling week for its Pixel 7 series of smartphones. Earlier this month, Google introduced the Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro and the first Pixel Watch.

“We previewed the upcoming Pixel tablet in 2023 in more detail. The Pixel combines our core technologies, AI, Android and our Google Tensor G2 processor to bring cutting-edge AI straight to the device.” Pichai said during the quarterly earnings call on Tuesday.

The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro offer industry-leading photography features that can unblur or sharpen photos and shoot cinema-quality videos.

“We recently had our best-selling week for the Pixel, and I’m really proud of the positive reviews so far,” he noted. Powered by Google’s next-generation Tensor G2 processor and shipping with Android 13, the Pixel 7 is priced at Rs 59,999 and the Pixel 7 Pro is priced at Rs 84,999 in India.

The Pixel 7 Pro has a 6.7-inch immersive display, polished aluminum frame, and a camera bar in three colors: Snow, Obsidian, and a new Hazel color. Google has also introduced its latest release of Android. “Android 13 offers new personalization features, better privacy controls and a more seamless experience with connected devices,” Pichai said.

He also revealed that Google Workspace is now being used by over 8 million businesses and organizations across the world. “We are investing deeply in powerful software experiences ranging from silicon to OSes because this is a huge opportunity to advance computing and build deeper relationships with the people who use Google products,” Pichai said.

Earlier, Sundar Pichai has advised employees not to have fun with earning more money, as the little things in life can bring more happiness than money. According to a CNBC report, Pichai was inundated with questions from employees related to travel and entertainment budget cuts, productivity, hybrid work and possible layoffs.

“I remember when Google was small and scary. We shouldn’t always compare fun to money. I think you can walk into a hardworking startup and people will be having fun and it doesn’t always equal money, He apparently told the staff.
