Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy smartwatch lineup is undergoing multiple certifications ahead of release. Although the release is still far away, many details are coming out as we move forward.
Now, an online listing (via sammobile) The battery capacity of the Watch 6 lineup has been revealed from a regulator in China. This includes the Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic. Unfortunately, there is no information on the Watch 6 Pro which calls into question its existence.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Series Battery Details
There are many sizes of Samsung Galaxy Watch 6, hence there are many model numbers. Starting with the Galaxy Watch 6 40mm, it bears the model number SM-R930/SM-R935 and packs a 300mAh battery.
The Galaxy Watch 6 44mm with the SM-R940/SM-R945 model number packs a 425mAh battery. On the other hand, the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 42mm with model number SM-R950/SM-R955 will come with the same 300mAh battery as the Watch 6 40mm.
The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 46mm with the SM-R960/SM-R965 model number will be launched with a 425mAh battery. Again, similar to the larger Watch 6 44mm.
Apart from this, there is no information about the upcoming smartwatch. However, some past leaks have revealed the arrival of rotatable bezels on the Watch 6 Classic.
The Watch 6 series is expected to come with Corning Gorilla Glass DX protection. It will be made of titanium or stainless steel material. Some models will have some additional features and will come in new colours.
Samsung is yet to confirm the existence of Galaxy Watch 6 series. However, given the annual release cycle, we expect Samsung to break silence on the Watch 6 series in H2 of this year.
Mostly at their next Unpacked event in August or September. Meanwhile, Galaxy S23 users are using the Galaxy Watch 5 series of smartwatches. Since there is no Pro, there are no rotating bezel watches in the series.
If leaks are to be believed, we will finally get the rotating bezel back with the Watch 6 Classic. It remains to be seen what Samsung is planning with the Watch 6 Pro, is it happening? Or is branding killing it? Let’s wait and see.
