If the second wave of Kavid-19 had not been badly consumed in India in April-May, we could have fought the Zenfone 8 and Zenfone 8 Flip with the OnePlus 9 series. Asus is now preparing to launch these two phones in India later than usual. The Zenfone 8 series was previously listed on the Asus website and now, there is a re-assurance that these phones will arrive in India soon.
No launch date for the Zenfone 8 series has been announced yet but Asus’s business head of commercial PCs and smartphones, Dinesh Sharma, says it could happen soon. In an interview with India Today, he said that the phones are coming to India very soon. The company is currently sorting out logistics issues and figuring out a way to replenish stocks before the first sale is broadcast live. No indication was given for the prices.
The Asus Zenfone 8 series is launching soon
“We will launch Zenfone 8 in India very soon. And, when I say that, I mean really soon. I have received a lot of requests about that product on social media and am working to bring it to the country. “We have to look at a number of factors, including logistics, and we will announce a date as soon as it is over,” he said.
“You need to supply enough of a product to start selling. The way smartphone manufacturing works, it has a build-up process. You can’t expect very high quality products from day one. It takes some time after you start the process, ”he added.
The Zenfone 8 series will return to India for the first time since 2019. Following a lawsuit involving trademark naming, Asus has launched Zenfone 6K in India as Asus 6Z. The company skipped the Zenfone sk for India and focused on the ROG phone series in 2020.
It will be interesting to see how Asus will look at the price of Zenfone 8 series in India. The Asus 6Z was part of the flagship killer division. The Zenfone 8 drops the flip camera of its predecessors, but the flagship Snapdragon 7, an edge-to-edge display, and a pair of two cameras on the back. The Zenfone 8 Flip retains that triple flip camera module from older models.
