Asus is expected to soon launch another variant of the ROG Phone 5 gaming smartphone, known as the ROG 5S, which may be a slightly upgraded version of the existing one. The phone is expected to arrive on August 16, though confirmation is yet to come.
Before the company makes some details official, we have some information in the space sheet of the phone. A new leak has revealed that the phone will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ chip, which was first seen on the recent Xiaomi Mi Mix 4.
Asus ROG 5S specs leaked
It is suggested that the upcoming ROG gaming phone will have an OLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. This is similar to the ROG 5’s display specification. The size of the screen is likely to be the same.
The smartphone is expected to come in two RAM and storage variants: one with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage and the other with 18GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. This is definitely an upgrade of ROG 5, which only gets a maximum of 12GB RAM.
