Apple iPhone 14 Pro might come with this major design change

Apple will probably introduce a USB Type-C port for the first time in its iPhone series. Upcoming Apple iPhone 14 Pro models may have a Type-C port for charging. Published by LeaksApplePro and iDropNews. There are three main reasons why Apple’s upcoming model includes this new feature, the report said.

First, the tech giant is trying to avoid legal action for not including a universal USB-C port. For the uninitiated, the European Union has announced plans to standardize USB Type-C ports on all smartphones. It can even impose fines on any company that does not comply with this rule.

The report further reveals that Apple iPhone 14 Pro will be the only iPhone with Type-C port launched in 2022. One of the reasons for switching to Apple Type-C port may be the transfer speed. Significantly, iPhone 13 Pro models support USB 2.0 speeds, while the USB Type-C port will support USB 3.0 speeds. Apple’s MacBooks and tablets now come with a Type-C port so iPhones can also come with one.

According to the report, the reason Apple may decide to add a Type-C port to its upcoming model is to protect the environment. If the tech giant switches to a universally accepted standard, it will reduce electronic waste. Significantly, this could even result in cost-cutting. Non-Pro models are expected to have a Type C port from 2023 onwards.

Keep in mind that these are all just rumors and none of this has been confirmed by the agency.

Apple will not bring the iPhone 14 Mini in 2022, according to a report from a popular tipstar John Prosper. In a tweet, Prosara noted, “The iPhone 13 Mini is the last” mini “iPhone. There won’t be a 14 Mini next year. So, if you’re thinking of trying the Mini, the 13 Mini is your last chance.”

In April of this year, Ming-Chi Kuo, a well-known analyst, claimed that Apple plans to launch a 5.4-inch iPhone mini in 2022. Kuo added that despite the mini model being discontinued, four more iPhones will be launched next year. It turns out that two high-end Pro models and two affordable models will be launched next year under the iPhone 14 series.
