Apple is approaching the final release of its latest operating systems every day, including iOS 15, iPad 15, TVOS 15, WatchOS 8 and MacOS Monterey. The company has now released the fourth public beta of the operating system which has brought changes to Safari, a new widget option for podcasts, notifications, focus mode and much more. Currently in the public beta testing program, users will be able to test new features found in the latest build by updating their device over air (OTA).
Apple iOS 15, iPadOS 15: What’s new
Apple has brought some new features and changes in its iOS 15 Beta 4 update. The first change since Safari now has a share button in the tab bar and a reload button next to the URL. The tab bar shrinks when browsing, and users now have to long press on the URL bar to access the ‘Show bookmarks’ option.
Added a new icon for the ‘Smart Rotate’ feature as well as a new ‘Share Focus Status’ with individuals when adding a widget stack to your home screen. Support for the new MagSafe battery pack has been brought to the iPhone 12. There is also a new ‘Return to Home Screen’ shortcut action
Safari MacOS for iPad has been updated with a new design similar to the Monterey Safari design. There’s also a new toggle to disable notifications when sharing or mirroring the screen. Inside the Messages app, users can now tap a contact’s name and choose whether to share their focus status with them.
The App Store Accounts page has been redesigned with the modified notification icon. The camera icon has also been tweaked to remove the shutter button for the lock screen.
