Veteran Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan thanked Twitter CEO Elon Musk in his own unique way after the micro-blogging website restored his blue tick. Taking to Twitter, Amitabh wrote: “T 4624 – Aye Musk Bhaiya! We thank you very much! Ooo, Neel Kamal Lag Gaon Hamar Naam Ke Aage.” (Musk bhai! I thank you so much! That blue tick is again in front of my name).

He then gave a fun spin to the song ‘Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast’ from the 1994 film ‘Mohra’. The song is originally picturized by Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon. He wrote: “Ab ka batayee bhaiya! (The song Gaye ka man kart hai hamar! Sambo ka? e leo heard: “Tu cheez badi hai kasturi… bahut cheez badi hai, kasturi.” It goes like this: “Tu cheez badi hai kasturi… bahut cheez badi hai” Yes, Kasturi.”

Bachchan wrote an amusing tweet on April 20 after losing his blue tick along with several other legacy verified users. Feels like forking Allahabadi, the tweet pointed out that they have subscribed to Twitter Blue but still haven’t got their blue tick. He said he was folding his hands in front of Musk to give him the blue tick and insisted on touching his feet if he didn’t make the cut.

Talking about the workfront, Amitabh will be seen in ‘Project K’. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film also stars Prabhas and Deepika Padukone. It will hit the screens on January 12, 2024. Amitabh will next be seen in ‘Section 84’, a courtroom drama thriller written and directed by Ribhu Dasgupta.

Twitter removed all legacy verified users on April 20, removing the blue ticks from their profile names. Earlier, blue ticks or checkmarks were given after a thorough verification process was followed as per the company’s old verification system. But after Musk took the reins of Twitter, the verification system was changed to become a paid service. Only those paying for Twitter Blue subscription can have a blue tick. As a result, celebrities such as the Pope, Rahul Gandhi, Beyoncé, Cristiano Ronaldo, Taylor Swift, and several government-affiliated accounts from various countries lost their verified status.
