Airtel has announced an increase in the price of prepaid plans earlier this week. The increased price will be effective from today. Also, data add-on plans are becoming more expensive. Vodafone-idea (Vi) has also increased the price of its tariff plan starting Thursday, November 25th.
The price of the new Airtel has already been listed on the official website. The telecom operator has raised the price to Rs 500, which is much higher for a price-sensitive market like India.
The tariff hike, Airtel believes, will help telecom operators achieve the Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) mark of Rs 200. V has said the same as the reason for raising the tariff plan to Rs 500.

The price of Rs-79 plan has gone up to Rs 99, which forces you to pay extra Rs 20.
The price of Rs-149 plan has been increased to Rs 179, which has been increased to Rs 30.
The price of -219 plan has been increased to Tk 265, which has been increased to Tk 46.
The price of Rs-249 plan has been increased to Rs 299, which is Rs 50 more.
The Rs-298 plan has been increased to Rs 359, which is an increase of Rs 61.
