5 simple tips to click better photos using your smartphone


Smartphone cameras have evolved over the past few years by multiple folds. We’re sitting in 2021, and most Android smartphones today come with a minimum of three camera sensors and the number goes to a maximum of five lenses. To recall, the Nokia 9 PureView, which was launched in India in 2019, comes with a pants-rear camera system.

Like a decade ago, consumers today rely on their smartphones to capture everything around them. On this World Photography Day, we’ve listed 5 easy tips to click better photos using your smartphone. Let’s see.

Tips for clicking on a good smartphone photo

Tip 1: To click on a photo of a good smartphone, you must wipe the lens of your phone before shooting. The most frequent effect you see is not the filter but the oil that may be registered in the lens. So, to click better photos using your smartphone, wipe the lens with a clean cloth. Try not to use your T-shirt to clean the lens as it may have some marks on it.

Tip 2: To take pictures of a good smartphone, tap on the brightest part of the screen to balance the exposure. Doing this will ensure a good result.

Tip 3: Use a contrasting background. This will make the photograph more interesting than before. If you don’t have a contrasting background to play with, use the bright blue sky as the background. This will separate the object in the photograph.

Tip 4: If you have an object, you must use portrait mode to highlight it further. Use portrait camera mode if you are trying to capture a beautiful flower, an animal or any other object. This will ensure that the object is highlighted and the background is completely blurred. Nowadays most smartphones offer portrait mode with both rear and front cameras. The results in portrait mode can often surprise you. If you haven’t already, try this.

Tip 5: When clicking on the photo outside, it is important to make sure that the sun gets a good illuminated picture behind you. Indoors, apply the same rule to the light source to click on better photos for better results.
