2022 KTM 390 Adventure Engine

The 2022 KTM 390 Adventure uses a liquid-cooled, compact 373 cc engine. The engine produces 43.5 PS of maximum power @ 9000 rpm and peak torque of 37 Nm @ 7500 rpm. The 89mm bore piston is DLC coated to provide greater durability. This stroker produces a compression ratio of 12.6:1.

The 2022 KTM 390 Adventure features a precision-crafted exhaust system. The company claims that it helps deliver instant, smooth power and is specially designed to not affect the rider’s speed on the bike.

Riding Mode: The new KTM 390 Adventure gets new riding modes, which were not there in the previous model. The rider will get the option to choose between street or off-road mode. The provision of riding modes will bring a lot of relief as it will change the level of traction as per the requirement of the user. Off-road mode allows for a certain rear-wheel slip, which means muddy puddles or thick sand are easily navigated.

frame: The new KTM 390 Adventure gets a trellis frame similar to the KTM 459 Rally. The bike gets a removable, steel trellis subframe that has been developed to be compact, but strong enough to carry a single passenger and luggage.

foot pegs: The KTM 390 Adventure uses a wider foot-peg borrowed from the offroad model. KTM claims that they have been designed for all day walking, standing or sitting, on road or off road footwear. They have rubber inserts for greater comfort when riding on the road. It can be easily removed for greater grip while off road.

Wheels: Another major difference from the old model is the new 5-spoke wheel. KTM claims that the new cast wheels will be able to withstand tough adventure rides in rough terrains. The bike gets a 19-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel.

Suspension: The bike gets WP APEX 43mm USD forks at the front and a 10-step adjustable monoshock at the rear. The KTM 390 Adventure gets suspension travel of up to 177 mm at the rear. The bike gets a fuel tank of 14.5 liters which KTM claims can provide a range of over 400 kms.
